Water Bombers Too Close to Home!

Summer homes that is... Here's a video shot last weekend, July 15, 2012, from Six Mile Lake as Ontario MNR Twin Otter 845 Tankers picked up water in three minute cycles to drop onto a forest fire nearby in the MacDonald River / McCrae Lake area.  Word on the 'docks' has it that 19 acres were damaged and at one point there were 40 firetrucks on the ramp...

With the fire rating steadily bouncing between high and extreme lately, always contact your local municipality's office before starting an open fire.  If a total ban is in effect we have more info here on how you can still have some fireside fun!
