I know, I know, this sailboat has been around since 2003. It was a cutting edge Henderson design back then and in my opinion still is. In my old racing days I was fortunate enough to crew on an Andrews 30 and got used to it's enormous cockpit. The 216 uses the same design language with a cockpit that can hold 6 adults but can be sailed by 2 (or tenderly by one). Since the launch of the 216, I have been fortunate enough to had 3 wonderful children, which is making me take a hard look at this boat again. It's easily trailered, beached, with room to spare for my 'crew'.

DockTech: The iPad

It's the perfect Docktime companion...too bad it's not waterproof.  Listen to music (which is not loud enough to irritate the neighbours), read a book or magazine, catch up on your favorite TV show, flip through your pics and that's if you don't have 3G or a wireless network available.  With a connected iPad you have the internet 'world' in your lap.  I know you out there saying the internet has no place at your dock but if I can spend less time away from a desk and more time on the dock then bring it on!  For those of you that haven't already taken the plunge here are some reviews from ubergizmo, engadget, and gizmodo.

Here it begins...

Our first post will not be our finest, nor will it be the worst.  This clip encapsulates the motivating factors of this site: Docktime is the best time.  The person filming this short clip captured the true meaning of our shared cottage experience.  I have no doubt how proud they were of their place in this world at that very moment.  As for us, the editors, and you, the reader, we hope there is no place you'd rather be also!
